This bar can be found near Charles square. Kormidlo can be translated as „rudder“. As the name of this bar prompts, the bar is nautical themed. The interior was reconstructed and it resembles a cruise ship cabin. A very long bar, forged chairs and benches made of solid wood make this place look cozy. It’s not one of the largest bars, only about 50 people can be seated here. If you’re a regular, you probably notice that only two bartenders work here. Those are the owners of this bar, they are always in a good mood and never hesitate to talk to customers.
A speciality of this bar is also nautical themed – you can choose from many brands of rum. There is about 50 brands of this liquor and the offer changes from time to time. Another thing that makes this place unique is Absinthe. Not just a regular Absinthe, but one that is made in Czech republic by an original French recipe. You’re also welcome to throw parties for the workers of your company. Or have your next birthday party here, you won’t be disappointed. They can manage to prepare tasting of French cheese or if you’re a fan of Czech cuisine, they can deal with that, too. And the prices are reasonable.
The average age is about 30. Many students like to meet here for a drink, but the are also older regulars, who come here almost every day, sometimes even dressed in a sailor suit (there is a chance of getting a free drink for that). The bar opens at 4 pm and closes late at night or early in the morning.
