One of these vegetarian lunchroom is not far from Národní třída (but there is another three lunchrooms in Prague). There’s a lot of light inside thanks to one glass wall. Up to 60 people can be seated here. And when the weather is nice, it is even possible to use the open-air restaurant. Furniture is mostly made of wood and simple looking. It’s not only a lunchroom, exhibitions of painting by young artist are sometimes held here, too.
What’s interesting about this restaurant is, that it’s based on Indian philosophy of cooking. It’s stricktly vegetarian and not even eggs are used as ingredient. This lunchroom chose a form of buffet. It’s the fastest way to serve customers. First at the counter with food you take a stainless steel tray and then choose the meals. Usually there is about six kinds of vegetable salad, two kinds of soup, three types of side-dishes, plenty of sauces and of course vegetable main courses. They make their own sweets from soy milk and also fresh vegetable or fruit juice. At the end they weight the food you’ve chosen. The price is 15,- Kč/100 g. When you come here one hour before they close, you even get 30% discount.
Many people who work nearby like to enjoy their lunch at Dhaba Beas. It’s even possible that you will have to wait for a free table, since it’s kind of crowded near lunchtime. Stundents also like to come here for lunch since the prices are very reasonable. Opening hours on Mondays to Fridays are 11 am to 9 pm, Saturdays from 12 to 8 pm and Sundays from 12 to 6 pm.
