If you’re a fan of cultural events and especially of music in any form, you will surely be interested in Lucerna Music bar. It’s situated in Vodičkova ulice (Prague 1), not that far from Venceslav square. Culture tradition of this club is quite rich and it’s one of the most visited club here in Prague. Its history goes back to 1907, when grandpa of our ex-president Václav Havel participated greatly on its founding. Lucerna music bar is actually a new name which saw the light of day on 24th October 1995 for the first time, when the club re-opened.
Every Friday and Saturday nights belong to retro music, when a so called 80’s & 90’s video party takes place. Thanks to visual aid you can watch the original music videos and maybe even try to copy their dance moves. No one cares if you’re succesfull in doing so, you’re just supposed to simply have fun. Besides that there are many concerts held on other days of the week. It’s possible to see famous Czech bands really often, as well as foreign bands. There’s a whole range of music genres – from rap to reggae or indie. Practically whatever you desire.
An important part of clubbing and partying is also drinking. There is of course a bar to be found in Lucerna music bar. You can either choose from many refreshing non-alcoholic drinks or taste famous Czech beer. Or get yourself drunk by different kinds of shots of liquor (they even offer Absinthe, seeked by many tourists). The choice is yours.
