Real estate in Prague 2

After Prague 1, Prague 2 is the second most expensive district of the capital. The quarter includes the area from Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí) and Náměstí Míru to Vinohrady. It lies on the left bank of Vltava River. The main advantages are: very good accessibility with public transport, the infrastructure of services, huge amount of restaurants and rich offer of leisure activities. Compared to Prague 1, Prague 2 has more urban green areas. High noise level, air pollution and ever-present tourists can be considered main disadvantages.

Purchasing properties

The cheapest flats in Prague 2 cost two or two and a half million CZK in minimum. Many houses in the quarter are owned by outlandish owners with whom negotiating isn’t always an easy thing. On the other hand, on some of the old houses there are even advertisement boards with information about flats that are for sale in the house.

Renting a flat in Prague 2

Surprisingly, renting a flat here doesn’t differ from other parts of Prague when it comes to price. Rent of 2+1 sized flat is around 14.000 CZK. While searching for a flat, the best option you can choose is to use the services of internet servers where the owners of the flats themselves place their ads. This way you can avoid paying fees to estate agencies.
